Internship Functions:

Work I completed.

I had the opportunity to fulfill the following duties:

Prospecting, Cold Calls, Follow-ups, In-person meetings, Customer Support, Concern and conflict resolution with current accounts, Project Management, CRM system management, current account maintenance/renewals, delivering presentations to SU Group management and prospective clients, and more.

Takeaways.

I am a Finance and Business Analytics double-major, but a sales internship has always interested me. During my corporate finance internship last summer, my supervisor consistently recommended I attain sales experience if at all possible.

Through this experience, I have further developed my ability to manage multiple projects, communicate, connect with clients/prospective clients, and follow through on processes for success. These skills are instrumental to any career I could pursue in the business world, and will I will reap the benefits of this internship for much of my career.

Summer 2019 at SU Group, LLC

This summer I was able to work alongside the VP of Sales, Greg Buhr in creating new leads and attaining new business.

Located in Milwaukee, WI, SU Group is a pioneer of the Equipment Maintenance Management Program (EMMP) and helps universities, medical centers, financial institutions, laboratories, counties, and city governments save money on their maintenance agreements spend.

SU Group, LLC has been in business since 1982, and has actuarial data on the fail rates and maintenance needs for a wide range of equipment. Knowing this information, they are able to offer an agreement to institutions and save them 17-35% on their contracts, while maintaining the same terms and level of service they had on their previous contract.
